Starting small, aiming high

In 1995, Scott Riggs and Dick Martin started a small business doing home repairs, working from their basement office in Gladstone.  Lisa Martin joined the team in 1995 and Scott Weaver in 2000, with Scott becoming a full partner in 2005 when Dick Martin retired. From these humble beginnings, Riggs and Martin has transformed into a full-service remodeling company that has continued to grow based upon a solid reputation for excellent craftsmanship and exceptional customer service.iggs and Martin team

Meet the Riggs and Martin team

Scott Riggs, MCR, CKBR: President

Right from the start, Scott demonstrated a commitment to the highest level of communication and positive collaboration with clients. Not surprisingly, these are the very same qualities that keep clients coming back and referring friends and family to Riggs and Martin. Scott is a Master Certified Remodeler and Certified Kitchen and Bath Remodeler.  In addition to his design expertise, estimating, sales and project oversight, Scott finds time to volunteer as Treasurer on the Board of Directors for ReFIT and has served as President for NARI Pacific NW. Both on and off the job, Scott is an avid and passionate photographer.

Scott Weaver: Vice President

Scott has nearly twenty years experience working construction management and in the remodeling industry.  His organizational and communication skills make him a detail-oriented and customer-focused team member who is committed to the best possible outcome every time. At Riggs and Martin, Scott’s responsibilities include sharing the estimating and sales roles with Scott Riggs as well as overseeing all aspects of project facilitation.  Scott is an active member of NARI Pacific NW and is currently serving as President. When he isn’t working, Scott enjoys spending time with his family, running, hiking, and camping, and is also active in his church community.

Lisa Martin: Office Management
Lisa started with Riggs and Martin in 1995 and has never looked back. Her high level organizational skills make Lisa perfectly suited to handle all aspects of daily operations and office management. Away from the office, Lisa enjoys golfing, cooking, hiking, fishing and quilting.

Dave Johnson: Project Manager
Dave has been working in the construction industry since the early 1990s and is well known for his quality craftsmanship and integrity. His depth of expertise in invaluable in the field and translates to a very smooth running jobsite. In his spare time he enjoys hiking with his wife, playing the guitar and fine woodworking.

Curt Thompson: Carpenter
Curt started in the construction industry in 1992. From tear-out to finish Curt takes pride in the quality of his work and attention to detail. He loves working with his hands and enjoys fly fishing, tying flies as well as building and flying remote controlled aircraft. You can find him camping and on road trips with his family when not on a jobsite.

Tony Yraguen: Architect/Project Designer
Tony has been an Oregon licensed Architect for over thirty years and has eleven years of experience in construction management. As an Architect, he is involved in all aspects of design-build for residential projects. He works closely with our clients helping them through the design process by creating preliminary plan options and inspiring designs. When Tony isn’t working he enjoys finding planets and galaxies with his telescope, riding his ATV, and playing guitar.
